WILLMAN & COMPANY WINS SLEW OF CREATIVE AWARDS
- Agency Captures Gold and Silver Addys in Gainesville Competition -

JACKSONVILLE, FL (February 23, 2000) - Jacksonville-based Willman & Company, a full-service advertising, public relations and interactive agency, recently earned ten Addy awards for excellence in advertising and interactive from the Gainesville Advertising Federation's Addy Awards 2000 competition. The agency will receive the awards during ceremonies February 24 at the Savannah Grande in Gainesville, FL.
The agency, whose creative department is led by Jorge Brunet, vice president and creative director, has won four Gold Addy awards for the following:
- An advertising campaign for Jacksonville-based Landstar Logistics that used barnyard animals as metaphors for touting Landstar's fast, efficient transportation services.
- A 3-D direct mail sales incentive package for Plantation, Florida-based Fiserv UniFi Products Group that asked sales people to "Kill the Competition (And Take Home the Prize)" with a toy wind-up Godzilla in a box. UniFi provides enterprise-class mortgage and consumer lending origination software.
- An annual report for Quigley House, the Clay County, Florida, domestic violence shelter.
- The dramatic new stationery package for Pixelocity, the interactive division of Willman & Company.
The agency also won four Silver Addy awards for the following:
- The "Symbols of Freedom" trade advertising campaign for Jacksonville-based lender EquiCredit Corporation that uses national symbols of strength (eagle, horse, buffalo) to stress the company's leading role in the subprime industry during the past 40 years.
- A direct mail campaign for the Jacksonville and the Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau that touts Jacksonville, FL, as "The Perfect Meeting Location."
- A grand opening celebration invitation for Jacksonville-based The Perdue Companies as it unveiled its innovative "Office of the Future" showroom.
- A poster-sized party invitation for Willman & Company that used two Kool Kats swing dancing to entice invitees to celebrate the agency's expanded offices. [continue to page 2...]
